I am (currently) a member of three local cars groups (Volvo, Saab, and Alfa) and all three are planning on going to next month’s local Cars and Coffee knockoff. What car should I bring?

Gotta be the Land Rover.

Take the Landie and join a Land Rover club. It’ll pay dividends to sourcing parts, information, off road meets and assistance with maintaining the Landie.

Maybe you just need some friends to drive your other cars?....or go with the one most likely to start afterward?

Haha perhaps! I did successfully convert one, but he moved to Austin. He is now shopping for a manual DD though!

I’m searching for a manual awd 6+ seater.....I may have to convert a Subaru Accent....looks like a 2015+ wrx transmission will blot up. Never owned an Automatic nor has my wife.

Honestly, I’d probably base the decision on which group of people I enjoyed hanging around with more, or which group needed another car for better representation.

For better or worse all three groups are pretty cool, in their own ways. I don’t think the Alfa will be finished by then, so I am offhandedly eliminating that. Between the Saab and the Volvo, I am leaning Volvo as I’m (A) the president of the local Volvo club and (B) Volvos will probably be under-represented.

President? Wouldn’t prime minister be more appropriate? I think it’d be a better gig to be king of the Volvo club... Might have to work on that.
